Hey Mama I Made It! (by Smith/Yarberg)
It’s always fun discovering where our team’s music has been licensed and used, often in surprising and unexpected ways.
Not only is Hey Mama I Made It a wrestler’s walk-on music, it’s also apparently a big deal on the dance routine circuit.
Composed by The Burst Collective's Matt Smith and Sven Yarberg, and featuring D.A. Wallach on vocals (of Chester French, and now on staff with Spotify and creating music as a solo artist), the track was released prior to Burst’s current offerings here at The License Lab (UNDERscore, HypeKit, Eyeballs & Eardrums, Picture Puncture, Playlist) as part of the Mixtape series… a production music library conceived and produced by TLL founding partner Daniel Holter that was sold to Sony/ATV’s Extreme Music. We’ll link here for you to save you having to scroll four pages deep into their offerings, per usual with the Mixtape series… heh.
tl;dr … lots of babbling about publishers, credits, history, backstory, yadda yadda yadda, we’ll stop now… but, hey, we’re proud of the work we’ve done and the music we’ve made… and it’s fun to share with you guys from time to time.
Alright, thanks for listening/watching/dancing.
This is easily one of the strangest/funniest placements one of my songs has gotten.
